The Journey is the Real Destination - Random Sunday Nonsense Series 9

Shot from my F-16...I wish!

"Keep in mind, the nearest exit may be behind you".

If you have flown on commercial jets, that must sound very familiar to you since it is repeated before every take off during the safety brief. But have you ever realized how immensely true it is in life too?

To go out there, take up challenges and to get what you want is one thing, but it is also important to be sensible and live life meaningfully. Rarely, you could get too mired in the daily living and the intricacies associated with it, that you tend to lose focus of the purpose, the people around you and your environment.

You need to slow down, at least once in a while, and even take a few steps back, to alter your direction and steady your course before you reach your final destination. Most of us forget this and, at times, even wouldnt want to do this self-correction. But the longer you wait, the greater your troubles. And once you are in trouble, you most often will have to travel back alone, and yes, it is going to be one long walk back.

Sooner or later, we realize that the journey is the real destination. Living the day meaningfully and completely, is the purpose of life. Make today beautiful!

How many of us have the power or facility to live our life the way we want? Not many! :( Specially girls and women, who are at the mercy of the society and family for the same. My sincere wish is to see an India, where, women make choices made on their desires and wants and not in accordance to external diktats.

you know silverine, i am a big supporter of women's rights and empowerment. so i entirely agree with you. but this comment from you is a bit of a shocker with the tone of disappointing disenchantment..i would consider you as a role model for younger girls in India! keep walking!

p.s. thanks for the comment! :)
