Snow Man

Casper Frozen - My first Snow Man. It was one of the
greatest experiences in my life - to see, feel and even taste
snow for the first time. One down from the list of 50 things
to do before I die.

Diana Again

Princess Diana comes alive again at the wax
museum by Madame Tussaud's at Victoria.
There were other human and fictional characters
at the museum, but Diana's was one of the best.

Victoria's Secret

That man, flora and fauna could co-exist so well reflects
Victoria's true beauty. The Butchart garden is maintained
meticulously by hundreds of employees from dawn to dusk.

Maple Country

The signature of Canada, the beautiful Maple Leaf. It was
nice to see maple trees all over the country. With winter just
setting in, the maple leaves were all bright orange and red.

Green Wall of Vancouver

Copyright © Mind curry

Walls of Green like above are a common sight in front of houses at Vancouver City. Apart from the beauty, they also serve the purpose of being sound and pollution barriers from the traffic on the roads. Vancouver is apparently rated as the Second Best City to Live in the World.

Highway To Jasper

Armed with a new Nikon, I hope to jumpstart Images and Words again..

Beginning with the lovely Canadian Rockies. Amazing to see the beautiful mountains and the man made roads cut across them.

IMAXimize

Everything comes alive at the Imax. Got a first hand experience of the real life scenes and sound at the Imax theater in Edmonton. The 3-D format movies along with its giant screens (as big as 8 stories!) and digital sounds is really worth the time and money spent.

Mall Rats

The World's largest mall - The West Edmonton Mall - with over 800 stores, a beach with artifical waves, a ship, submarine, skating rink etc in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

Some say, the intention of the mall, rather than true shopping experience is to provide an escape for the people of Edmonton from the harsh winter, when temperatures with windchill fall below minus 40 C.

Go West

On board the West Jet, Canada's "other" airline. Though a relatively new entrant compared to Air Canada, superior service, friendlier staff and better aircrafts have ensured the trend is to "Go West".

The Tower

CN Tower, Toronto..on a rainy day. The tallest building in Canada, complete with a revolving restaurant on top. Due to bad weather and more attractive callings in T-O, I never got a view from the top of the tower.

Expressway by night, at Toronto. Central to any developed nation has been its roads - something developed nations need to concentrate on building rather than just airports and seaports.

Sun Shine

Sun always doesn't shine on TV. The old harbor area at Montreal.

Beautiful Side of Somewhere

Beautiful side of Montreal, away from the bustling downtown
is the harbor front and more green side of the city.

Opera House

A shot of the Opera House, Montreal, Canada. The city is very
rich in culture and it reflects not just in the buildings and structures,
but also on the daily activity. Much is attributable to the French
influence.

Coffee Crazy

Copyright © Mind Curry

The best of Canada for me, a coffeeholic, included Tim Horton's chain of Coffee Bars and Takeaway outlets. Though it was crazy to know that the starting franchisee fees even in the remotest areas of Canada began at a whopping million dollars per outlet! Crazy! I need more coffee!
